A90 crash south of Queensferry Crossing causing long delays on approach to Edinburgh

A three-car crash on the A90 south of the Queensferry Crossing was causing massive delays on approach to Edinburgh this morning.

The incident was reported to have happened near to Dalmeny, just after the M90 split, at around 7.15am. One lane is blocked and this was adding to the queues already being experienced at the crossing.

The council-run Edinburgh Travel News reported that alternative routes via the M90 and A8 were busier as a result – with the accident having a knock-on effect for traffic heading into the capital this morning.

Traffic Scotland were urging people to approach with care, and Police Scotland said delays are to be expected.

At around 9.40am the accident was cleared with all lanes running well again.
