The A89 was this morning closed near Armadale Academy this morning due to a car accident.
A man has been taken to hospital following the one vehicle accident, which happened on the route heading westbound towards Blackridge.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 8.55am, and medics treated the man at the scene before taking him away in an ambulance.
Officers put a road closure in place near the school while the incident is dealt with.
West Lothian Council took to social media to let parents know that the road had been closed.
It has since been reopened.
