A82 closed at Dumbarton after crash

The A82 is closed at Dumbarton due to a road traffic collision.

Police are in attendance following the incident which happened just before 7.30am this morning between the Barloan and Lomondgate roundabouts.

The road is currently closed northbound as a result.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving two vehicles on the A82 near the Barloan Roundabout in Dumbarton around 7.25am.

“Emergency services are currently at the scene and the road is currently closed.”

According to Traffic Scotland: "Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time and should expect longer than normal journey times."
