A major Ayrshire road has been closed this evening following an accident.
Drivers are encountering huge delays on the A78 northbound at Eglinton Interchange near Irvine and Kilwinning.
Inrix is reporting slow moving traffic on the A737 and the A738 Stevenston Road as a result of the crash.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
Inrix states: "A78 Northbound closed, slow traffic due to accident from A737 (Eglington Interchange) to A738 Stevenston Road (Pennyburn Roundabout). Congestion to the A737 Irvine Road through Kilwinning."
