Drivers are facing major delays on a busy road into Glasgow.
A serious crash on the A77 just after 6.20am this morning has led to major congestion and the closure of the route northbound.
There is queueing traffic from the B7038 Glasgow Road at the Meiklewood Interchange, to Junction 8 on the M77 and congestion is reported back to the Bellfield Interchange.
The incident involved two horses and a van.
The road has been closed since around 6.30am but Traffic Scotland is starting to report serious knock on effects for motorists trying to reach Glasgow.
Diversion via the B7038 Glasgow Road through Fenwick and join the M77 at J7 (Fenwick North).
