A serious road crash has closed the A77 this morning.
The collision, involving three vehicles, has led to the closure of the road between the Holmston and Bankfield roundabouts in Ayr.
Police and other emergency services are in attendance and diversions are in place.
Drivers are being advised to avoid the route if possible.
Long tailbacks are being reported in the Belmont and Forehill area.
