Motorists travelling on the Edinburgh City Bypass can expect long delays this afternoon.
Police have closed lane one of two on the Bypass due to two broken down vehicles heading east at Baberton.
Traffic Scotland reported the incident, which is said to be causing "long queues" on the busy road, shortly before 12pm.
Drivers should avoid the route if possible with traffic queueing from M8 J1 (Hermiston Gait) to B701 Wester Hailes Road (Baberton Junction).
There is also congestion to the M8 eastbound back towards J2 M9.
