A52 in Nottingham to close overnight until April

Buses are set to divert as a major Nottingham road closes overnight until the end of the month.

The A52 at Derby Road will be closed between the Queen's Medical Centre and Priory Island, affecting bus services connecting the area to Nottingham.

Road works, which are being undertaken by Highways England, will run between 8pm on Monday (March 22) and April 1.

Passengers on Nottingham City Transport's orange 35 and 36 routes have been warned that the services will divert via Clifton Boulevard, Beeston Road and the University Boulevard during this time.

A spokesperson for the bus provider said: "Each night between 8pm to 6am from March 22 until April 1 the A52 Derby Road is to be closed between the QMC and Priory Island.

"During this time Orange 35, 36 will divert via Clifton Boulevard, Beeston Road and University Boulevard (with the 35 also using Woodside Road).

"Passengers on Woodside Road travelling to the City should use the 35 on the same side as the Uni."
