Three people have been killed in a horror head-on crash involving a Fiat and a Mercedes.
The Fiat 500 crossed over to the opposite carriageway for reasons unknown and slammed into the oncoming Mercedes estate car.
The Fiat's driver and two passengers died at the scene on the A428 in Denton, Northamptonshire.
The man driving the Mercedes was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "A motorist and two passengers have sadly died, after their vehicle was involved in a serious collision on the A428 Bedford Road, yesterday.

"The collision, which involved a black Fiat 500 and a silver Mercedes estate vehicle, occurred at about 9.20pm.
"For unknown reasons, the Fiat crossed over to the opposite carriageway, colliding head on with the Mercedes.
"The man driving the Mercedes was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
"All three occupants of the Fiat, the driver and two passengers, died at the scene."
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
