Emergency services are at the scene of a death near the A4 Portway.
A man is believed by police to have fallen from the cliffs near the Clifton Observatory today (December 2).
Police were called to the incident just before 2.50pm.
There is a large team of fire engines, ambulances and police at the Clifton Suspension Bridge and at the scene below, near the Portway.
Police have put a cordon in place at the cliff-face near the observatory.
The Portway was blocked in both directions following the incident but is now open, while the police cordon near the observatory remains.
