A4 Bath Road crash: Female cyclist taken to hospital

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash at a busy junction in south Bristol this morning (September 8).

The crash happened on Bath Road near the junction with Wells Road, known locally as the Three Lamps junction, at around 9am.

A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said: "We responded to a collision involving a cyclist.

"We treated a female patient and took her to hospital by land."

At the time of the crash, traffic monitoring service Inrix reported there was queueing traffic in the area.

Sensors showed traffic heading in and out of Bristol via Knowle was being affected.

This follows another collision in south Bristol yesterday, when a 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
