A38 motorcyclist taken to hospital after Bank Holiday crash near Bristol Airport

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a serious crash near Bristol Airport.

The A38 at Bridgwater Road was closed after a 'serious' collision involving a car and a motorbike around noon on Monday (May 31).

Avon and Somerset Police said a motorcyclist was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries after the incident between the Shipham turn off and A371 at Sidcot Lane.

A spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.40pm on Monday (May 31 ) by the ambulance service after a collision between a car and a motorbike.

“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

“The road was closed while emergency services were on the scene and reopened in the evening.”
