A1 southbound reopened in both directions following crash

A section of the A1 has reopened following a serious two-vehicle road traffic collision on Monday.

The PSNI attended the scene on the southbound carriageway between Loughbrickland and Sheepbridge on November 25.

The crash is the second in recent days after a 75-year-old woman died following a single-car crash on the stretch of road between Banbridge and Dromore on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a Co Antrim Road remains closed following an incident this evening.

Emergency services were called to the Carrowreagh Road, Ballymoney this afternoon, Monday, November 25.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised that, due to a road traffic collision, the Carrowreagh Road, Armoy, is closed in both directions. Diversions are in place. Please avoid the area if possible."
