Delays are expected on the A1 after police were called to a lorry crash.

The collision happened on the busy road at Coddington, heading southbound on Wednesday, May 26.

Police are at the scene and one lane has been closed while they work to clear the area.

Highways England have warned motorists to expect delays on the road as a result of the crash, which involved two lorries according to traffic website Inrix.

A spokesperson for Highways England said: "A1 Coddington Southbound lane one closure following traffic collision. Nottinghamshire Police on scene, please expect delays in the area."

Pictures taken at the scene show the damage done to the lorry, which has significant damage at the front of the vehicle.

There is also slow moving traffic in the area from nearby South Muskham to Coddington.
