A1 crash: Woman hurt after accident involving lorry and car in East Lothian

A woman has been hurt after a crash involving a lorry and a car on the A1 in East Lothian.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the smash, eastbound near to the Thistly Cross Roundabout, at around 1.30pm.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra car, a woman in her 30s, is currently being seen to by medics at the scene, while police deal with traffic management

It was confirmed shortly after 2pm that the A1 has now been closed, with long delays for those heading towards the A199 and the Dunbar area.

The oil tank on the lorry is understood to have been pierced, causing some spillage on the road.
