'A young Salah' - What people have said about Tottenham January transfer target Dejan Kulusevski

There could be a reunion on the cards in north London over the coming days if Dejan Kulusevski signs on the dotted line at Tottenham.

Catching the eye in Serie A during the 2019/20 season when on loan at Parma from Atalanta, Fabio Paratici quickly made his move to lure the exciting Swede to Juventus for £30million in January 2020.

Kulusevski could once again be on the move two years down the line as Paratici now wants to sign the 21-year-old for Tottenham, with the Lilywhites in talks with the Bianconeri over a loan deal, with an option to buy.

Notching seven goals and seven assists last season for Juventus, Kulusevski has found himself in and out of the team this season under Massimiliano Allegri but has still contributed with five goal involvements.

Tottenham do have plenty of attackers at the club already but the Swedish international would give Antonio Conte options in the final third due to his versatility.

So what exactly have others in the game had to say about the Tottenham target? football.london takes a look.

Cristiano Ronaldo on Kulusevski

“He is a great talent. He will help us to win and achieve incredible things.

“I really like to see him, he has a great potential, and he’s an excellent player. I hope to play with him and score a lot of goals together."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Kulusevski

"Yesterday was a very good day for Sweden. I finished here and Kulusevski for Juventus.

"Sweden does not have so many players in big clubs around the world. Everyone who comes up with that level develops Swedish football. This is something that Swedish football needs.

"It was not so easy for me to follow the Italian league remotely from the USA. But I've heard a lot about Kulusevski, he's a very good player.

"Now he will have the opportunity to develop even more at the highest level. It's a good move for Kulusevski. He will understand what is needed for the next step. I am very happy for him."

Andrea Pirlo on Kulusevski

"He is reacting as a champion. It's natural when coming to Juventus aged 20 that there's more pressure and every pass seems important.

"He is proving himself to be a champion in his mentality even quicker than he proves it on the field, so I expect great things."

Emil Forsberg on Kulusevski

"If you look at the age and how he plays, you will be happy. He plays a very beautiful football and has developed enormously. It's great fun.

"He's a great football player who should just keep being himself and believing in himself. Then he also knows about himself that he has all the prerequisites to become the top five in the world.

"He should just continue to be himself and believe in himself, then nothing is impossible."

Experienced Italian coach Pierpaolo Bisoli on Kulusevski

"He has incredible physical strength. He reminds me of a young Salah for the way he shakes off opponents in the first ten metres."

Former Parma boss Roberto D'Aversa on Kulusevski

"When you analyse the data, he is always among the players who cover the most distance in every game. He has the right mentality because he has come through the great Atalanta academy.

"He has the potential to be a devastating player."

Former Parma player Bruno Alves on Kulusevski

“I’m amazed by his ability to combine technical quality with his physical output.

“He runs 14 kilometres in every game, but he always shows an incredible intensity and always does the right thing.

“The secret is what’s in his head. He always works hard to be ready.”

Sweden boss Janne Andersson on Kulusevski

"Considering his pace, his ball control and his finishing, I see him as similar to Robben.

"Dejan hasn't been with us for long, but has already shown he has great potential.

"He works hard and is very quick. If he continues like this, he will be in the Sweden squad for many years to come.

"A coach always appreciates a player who can take on multiple roles and it'll be very interesting to see his tactical evolution. As things stand now, I think he's perfect as a winger."

Sweden star Albin Ekdal on Kulusevski

"I think we have a future world star there. Everyone I’ve spoken to is incredibly impressed with him. Not just for what he does with the ball, but also for work ethic."
