A Year in the Life of a Total and Complete Genius by Stacey Matson – review

Arthur wants to be famous, famous, rich and Powerful, and did I mention famous? How is he going to do that, I hear you ask. All he needs to do is to win this year’s story writing contest. Easy peasy right?

Wrong! Dozens of amusing obstacles stand in his way to claiming victory. Robby Zack for instance, he thinks that Arthur has stolen his idea for a simple project. Will Arthur win the contest or fail pathetically?

This is a laugh out loud read which friends and family will enjoy together. It is written in the style of a diary, with letters and emails too, so it is fast-paced and easy to read. Arthur is not at total genius or anywhere near for that matter, he is just cocky, over confident and very funny.

A Year in the Life of a Total and Complete Genius

I would recommend this book to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The World of Norm and Tom Gates fans. A perfect book for reluctant readers or anyone searching for a book filled with rich comedy.

I would give this book 7 out of 10 because it’s a really funny, fast-paced read.
