The entrances of all branches of The Mall department store will be transformed into a magical land of toys during The Mall Kids' Funtasia 2019 from Thursday until Wednesday.
Held to celebrate National Children's Day, which falls on Saturday, Jan 12, this year, the event will feature a giant bouncy castle, imagination-boosting activities, a total of 2,019 gifts to give away at all branches (except Ramkhamhaeng), plus more activities at three major zones at selected branches.
These are Food Funtasia, which will feature the best sweet treats, DIY workshops, a meet-and-greet with superheroes and a variety of pop-up booths at Bangkapi and Bangkae branches; IT Funtasia, which will take kids into the digital world with edutainment activities to boost their skills at Bangkapi and Korat branches; and Playground Funtasia, which will feature fun activities, big discounts on toys and a mini-fashion show by young models on Saturday and Sunday at Bangkae and Bangkapi branches.
Special highlights to be held exclusively on Saturday will be Funtasia In the Funland, featuring such rare and wonderful creatures as the European eagle-owl, Harris's hawk, Old English sheepdog, American shorthair cat and rabbits of various species at the Bangkae branch; Funtasia Island, featuring a treasure hunt, face painting and a magic show at the Ngamwongwan branch; and Funtasia Castle, featuring similar activities at the Thapha branch. Three young stars will also attend the three venues in the afternoon.
Fantasia Lagoon Water Park, meanwhile, will offer free entry to the first 200 kids who show up at Bangkae, Bangkapi and Korat branches on Saturday.
