A woman is fighting for her life after falling from a window.

Police were called to Bridge Street in Heywood just before 6pm.

In a statement, officers said the woman sustained life threatening injuries.

GMP said there are 'no suspicious circumstances'.

In a statement released to the M.E.N., the force said: "At 1755 hours police were called to an address on Bridge Street in Heywood.

"Upon attending, police and the North West Ambulance Service discovered that a female had fallen from a window.

"The female has been taken to hospital where she is being treated for life threatening injuries.

"There are no suspicious circumstances."

The incident occurred at a property just off Bridge Street, a main route connecting Heywood to Bury and Rochdale.

Police remained at the scene this evening.
