A wine festival is coming to Glasgow this summer

A wine festival is pouring its way into Glasgow this summer.... So round up your Vin Cru.

Vino lovers will get the chance to taste more than 200 high quality wines at the event and take part in a range of masterclasses too.

Award-winning wine writer and broadcaster Tom Cannavan will be hosting the event at Trades Hall in the Merchant City on Saturday June 13.

His name might ring a bell if you watch STV's The Hour of listen to his shows on BBC Radio Scotland, but he's also the owner of website wine-pages.com , which is one of the most successful in the global industry.

The 2020 lineup is yet to be announced, but you can check out the last year's festival programme for an idea of what's in store.

Needless to say, it seems Glaswegians love their vino... The event completely sold out in Glasgow before doors opened last year, and has also sold out in London and Edinburgh this autumn.

So whether you're mad about Malbec, love a crisp Chardonnay or prefer the fizzical benefits of Prosecco, there will be plenty of wines on offer to suit every palate. Just drink responsibly, please... You've been warned.!

Tickets for the Festival of Wine are £28 and are on sale now.

You can check out the event page on Facebook.
