A Wicklow woman has launched a sustainable babywear brand and it's so cute!

A Wicklow woman has launched a sustainable babywear brand which is just perfect for eco-friendly parents.

Lil & Izzy Boutique offers high-quality ethically sourced and organic baby products with functional, unique, and clever designs.

Creator Katie Brandon Byrne had the idea of having her own brand after her youngest daughter Isabelle, who has hyper-sensitive skin and allergies, was born.

Katie said: “After becoming a mother, I became much more eco-conscious. I started to really think about my options before buying from a brand.

“My youngest daughter Isabelle has hyper-sensitive skin and allergies and I found the choice of sustainable and organic cotton baby products in Ireland very limited.

“I really couldn’t find what I wanted without shipping in from international brands along with hefty price tags so I went about designing my own. Several months later, Lil & Izzy Boutique was born!”

Katie’s products uses organic natural fabrics including organic cotton which uses less energy and healthy organic soils which store more CO2.

She added: “When we choose to buy organic natural fabrics over conventional fabrics, the impact is not just on our babies skin but on our planet too!”

Lil & Izzy Boutique will showcase in The Motherboard pop-up in Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre from the September 18 to 22 from 10am-5pm.
