Sometimes, Wheel of Fortune contestants make life harder on themselves than necessary.
They mispronounce words while solving the puzzle or sadly lose out on a million bucks when forgetting while letters you’re given by the show for the final puzzle.
But then there’s this contestant, who decided to solve a puzzle with just TWO letters on the board — an “N” and a “T” — and with just “Phrase” as the clue. The reaction from Pat Sajak was priceless: a big pause and ” … Okay.” Seems like you’d want to wait to accrue more money or make sure you’ve got the puzzle more fleshed out.
And then she nailed it: “A place like no other.”
She only won $650, but then got a trip to Peru because it was a prize puzzle. And she more than deserved that after solving with just two letters visible.
