A virtual Friends quiz is taking place tonight - here's how to get involved

With the coronavirus crisis seeing us all on lockdown, nights out are, for the time being, on hold.

However, it doesn’t mean fun with your pals is completely off the menu.

This evening (Friday March 27), British company Eventures are holding a virtual pub quiz to test your knowledge on the hit sitcom, Friends.

Aptly titled The One With The Virtual Quiz, the event will put your knowledge on Joey, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler and Phoebe to the ultimate test.

The quiz is made up of 80 questions over eight different rounds, with the answers revealed at the end of each round, and should take 90 minutes out of your night.

While originally intended to just be a quiz for a small amount of people, the Facebook invitation has snowballed in recent days.

Things are set to get more competitive than Ross and Monica at Thanksgiving as over 52,000 people have clicked 'attending', and a further 135,000 people have marked themselves interested.

Witnessing the spiralling popularity of the event, a spokesperson for Eventures wrote on Facebook that there are now new conditions if you wanted to take part, using the quiz as an opportunity to make money for good causes.

If you fancy a Friends pub quiz tonight, you must like the Eventures Facebook page, which can be found here.

Hopefuls are then asked to donate £2 on JustGiving, with the group giving any profits raised to the NHS.

If you’re still looking for something other than watching endless Netflix, people wanting to take part have until 5pm today to enter.

The quiz will be shown both on Facebook Live and YouTube from 7.30pm tonight.
