Temperatures soared in Manchester this Good Friday making it the hottest day of the year so far.
Easter revellers basked in temperatures reaching 22 degrees - and it looks like the hot weather is set to continue for the weekend.
Hundreds of spectators lined the sunny banks of the River Irwell to watch the annual duck race.
Others took to beer gardens and parks to soak up the sunny weather.

The south got the best of the heat, with temperatures reaching up to 24 degrees, but Manchester wasn't too far behind.
And as the Easter weekend continues, it looks as though there is plenty more sunshine to come.
Temperatures could reach 23 degrees in Manchester tomorrow.
Met Office Meteorologist, Helen Roberts said: "Temperatures soared to up to 24 degrees down south and reaching 22 in Manchester.
"It has been a beautiful sunny day with plenty of sunshine which is set to continue for the weekend.
"Tomorrow we are looking at temperatures of up to 26 degrees nationwide and around 22 or possibly 23 degrees in Manchester.
"Saturday will be very similar.
"The next few days in general are looking to be filled with lots more of this warm sunshine."
