A vending machine that serves up free cocktails will arrive in Manchester next month.
Whisky brand The Woodsman has created the contraption, which has been designed to pour Old Fashioned cocktails free of charge.
The wooden vending machine will be at Hatch, the food and retail destination beneath the Mancunian Way, from May 10.
Although the Old Fashioned cocktail is typically time-consuming to prepare, the wooden vending machine will create the perfect serve in a flash.
Customers can build their whisky-based cocktail by pulling on a series of levers and wheels.
The Woodsman launched just last year - the whisky is matured in freshly-built oak casks from Ohio and ex-bourbon barrels double-scorched in Scotland, giving it flavours of vanilla and spice as well as a hint of woodsmoke.
Rod Gillies, head of innovation at Whyte & Mackay (the Glasgow-based company that owns The Woodsman), said: "Everyone loves a good Old Fashioned, and our maple syrup version is a cracker.
"But what would make it even better is being able to get hold of one wherever you are, on demand. So we’re stripping away the rules and complexity which sometimes surround Scotch and making it quick and simple to get a brilliant drink.
"We’ll be touring the UK with the Woodsman vending machine, popping up in various cities and dispensing Old Fashioned cocktails as we go."
The vending machine will be at Hatch on Oxford Road all weekend from Friday May 10.
