A Trump stan is now raging at DHS after getting a taste of how the machine really works

A longtime Trump supporter and MAGA sympathiser, podcaster Theo Von wants to see a check received to his address from the US Department of Homeland Security soon.

He wrote this in response to a video shared by the department’s official X page, which contained footage featuring him.

Back in January 2025, several of Von’s fans shared a video of him on X which sees him addressing a fan whose friend allegedly got deported from the US under immigration laws. In the video, he could be seen poking fun at the situation and saying:
“Heard you got deported, dude. Bye!”

The Department of Homeland Security, through its official X page, uploaded the video featuring him and added a twist by including several other elements. All of them combined, the video attempts to display the number of immigrants the DHS has managed to deport during their ongoing ICE raids. The number, according to them, tallies to approximately 2 million in 250 days. While their claims are debatable and open to criticism, Von’s comments come as surprising.

On Tuesday, Theo Von reshared the DHS’s post and demanded compensation for using his video. He also asked them to take down the video and keep him out of their “banger” deportation videos. Additionally, he clarified that the video of him speaking about immigration may not be his actual thoughts on the matter. He mentioned that his viewpoint on the matter was much more nuanced.

While DHS did not comment on the matter, they responded by deleting the video from their X page. This, however, did not stop thousands of people who saw the back and forth between the two parties from discussing it. On X, people called out Theo for his double standards. They noted how his previously outspoken stance on immigration and political inclination had now shifted amid public scrutiny.
