A true double Fish of the Week: Two bass on one lure

Ray Kozak doubled up on bass on one Whopper Plopper to earn FOTW honors.

Ray Kozak of Darien doubled up on largemouth bass while fishing on Coverdale Lake at his mom’s house in Union, Mich. They hit a Whopper Plopper.

``I was retrieving it when I had a fish hit it from below,’’ he emailed. ``I had no idea until I got the fish close to the boat that two fish must have hit it near simultaneously. Even though they weren’t big bass, it may be the most exciting catch I ever had. Even my son [Luke, 16] was in amazement.’’
