A train made of Lego bricks has arrived in Cardiff Bay for Christmas

A train made of 300,000 Lego bricks has steamed into Cardiff Bay for Christmas.

Santa’s Express steam train even has an elf driver plus two carriages which will have 24 presents and a Christmas tree inside – complete with 20 baubles.

The brightly-coloured festive train took three months to build and you can see it free of charge.

It arrived on time at Mermaid Quay's Tacoma Square on Saturday, November 30 and will be there until  Sunday, January 5 2020.

You will even be able to climb aboard the train for a Christmas selfie.

The display is visible any time, but access to sit on the train will only be available from 10am to 6pm daily.

The display follows on from the success of last year when a giant Santa and his sleigh made from Lego also appeared in Cardiff Bay.
