A touch of Hollywood: Chris Hemsworth and documentary crew's generous gift

Staff at the Armajun Aboriginal Health Service were taken aback on Monday when a man named 'Harry' walked in to their service and donated thousands of dollars in medical supplies and equipment.

The items were left over from a National Geographic documentary being filmed near by, and hosted by Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth.

Armajun Clinical Coordinator Rachael Kliendienst told the ABC New England Breakfast program she was taken back by the donation.

"I was kind of feeling a bit punked to be honest (at first)," Ms Kliendienst said.

"He opened the truck … I said I don't understand, can I just pick something … and he said no, you can have it all.

"I had to hold myself up on the truck, I was wobbly and then I cried and cuddled him for an awkward amount of time and then I called him Prince Harry."

But the Armajun clinic was not the only venue left star struck.

Chris Hemsworth was spotted throughout the Armidale city this week and was more than happy to take photos with the locals.

The Tattersalls Hotel posted photos on social media of Hemsworth and his personal trainer Luke Zocchi.

"Such lovely guys who were happy to get a few pics with our team before they headed off," they wrote.
