A Tiger Woods video edit made for the most incredible fake Presidents Cup highlight

Tiger Woods won his singles match during Team USA’s Presidents Cup comeback with a cold-blooded putt against Mexico’s Abraham Ancer. It was a vintage Tiger moment as he went to remove his hat right before the ball found the cup.

But, astonishingly, that clutch putt could have been even cooler.

The Twitter account, PuttOUT, shared an edited — almost deep fake — video that mashed together Tiger’s putt and his post-putt handshake with Ancer.

In this fake video (the original edit was taken down by the DMCA overlords), Tiger turns his back on the ball almost immediately upon contact, removes his hat and shakes hands with Ancer as the ball continued its path to the hole. It would have been golf’s version of Steph Curry turning his back on a 3.

Just incredible work. It’s not real, but could you imagine?! That would have been epic.

Tiger will have to settle for the already-cool reality from Saturday’s winner.
