
A flood tide creates large whirlpools on Thursday in the Naruto Strait in Tokushima Prefecture, while a pleasure boat sails among the swirls. The flood tide coincided with the Golden Week holiday, attracting many visitors to this sightseeing spot in the Shikoku region. According to the Naruto City Uzushio Tourist Association, flood tides have appeared frequently during this holiday break, and another tide is forecast for around May 18.
