A Super Mario Kart day is happening at this popular Leeds bar

If you know your Mario from your Wario and your Princess Daisy from your Princess Peach, this could be the event for you!

Mario Kart is one of the most popular multiplayer games of all time and Belgrave Music Hall have teamed up with Retro Games to host a day dedicated to the Nintendo classic.

The organisers have promised the opportunity to play Mario Kart on 'every console you can imagine', and they will be hosting tournaments with prizes, plus Mario-themed food and drink.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 22, and the Facebook event page says that it will run between 12pm and 9pm.

Mario Kart was first released way back in 1992 and several different versions have been released since on consoles such as the much-loved N64 and also on Gameboy and Wii.

How to get involved?

The event is totally free to attend and will be taking place at Belgrave Music Hall.

You can find out more about the Mario Kart Day on the official Facebook event page.
