A Starbucks delivery service is launching in Bristol as chain joins forces with Uber Eats

Food delivery services have changed the way we eat, making it possible to have food from popular restaurants delivered direct to our door.

One of the most widely-used apps is Uber Eats, which operates in 100 towns and cities across the UK and offers a wide range of options, with an average waiting time of 30 minutes.

And the newest addition to it will come as great news to coffee lovers, as it has joined forces with Starbucks with a Bristol launch just around the corner.

Following a successful launch in London, Starbucks Delivers recently moved into Manchester and Bristol is expected to follow in the coming months, along with Leeds, Leicester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.

Customers will be able to order food from the UK-wide chain as well as its well-known range of hot beverages, ideal for that pick-me-up when you can't escape the office.

Alex Rayner, general manager at Starbucks UK, said: "At Starbucks, we are committed to offering an unmatched customer experience.

"Part of this is finding new and easy ways to bring the Starbucks Experience to those who are unable to visit us in-store.

"We want to meet customers where they are, and through our partnership with Uber Eats, we have made a significant investment in technology and product innovation which means that connecting with Starbucks is just a click away."

Starbucks and Uber Eats used the London pilot to gather feedback from employees and customers via the Uber Eats platform.

This has helped to "refine and improve the customer experience," with a better understanding of the growing mobile and on-demand economy, enabling a quick expansion of Starbucks Delivers to other UK cities.

It is not known exactly when the service will launch in Bristol, but it is expected to be in the coming months.
