Designers Amrita Khanna and Gursi Singh launched their new store with a photo essay on intimacy, companionship and hope with Ashish Shah and Kshitij Kankaria in Mumbai. The store located at the 19th century Wesley Church showcased a select fashion preview.
From its very inception; partnership, companionship, and togetherness has been at the core of the label. It stands true to the brand name and to the founders-cum-partners building a dream together.
However, over the years, just as our interpersonal and professional relationship has evolved, the understanding of what it truly means to be ‘companions’ has expanded too. Intimacy is vital to human existence but its love that triumphs all, irrespective of how varied and infinite its definitions may be.
“We are elated to announce that Lovebirds Studio is launching our second flagship store, this time in the city of Mumbai. To celebrate this, we are opening an exclusive art show that celebrates togetherness and great things that happen when two people come together.
Displaying a photo essay on intimacy, companionship, and hope with Ashish Shah and Kshitij Kankaria; we wish to not explain the phenomenon of mutuality but merely showcase it in its crudest form. Amrita Khanna and Gursi Singh welcomed their Mumbai friends Kiran Rao, Imaad Shah, Amrita Thakur, Ami Patel, Aishwarya Nayar, Maya Sarao, Payal Khandwala, Shweta Betty and many more over a wine evening which was a melange of fashion and art.
