A special walk in aid of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind to take place in Phoenix Park next week

A 5k walk will be taking place in Phoenix Park next week in support of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The walk is happening on October 6 starting at 11.30 am at the Papal Cross Car Park.

Pet owners are welcome to bring their dogs along to the walk although you don’t need a dog to take part.

Those taking part will receive a cape for their dog.

You can register online or on the day from 11am and tickets cost €10 (individual registration for one adult and one cape) and €20 (family registration for 2 adults and unlimited kids and twp capes).

Event organiser with Irish Guide Dogs, Lynda Foley, said: “This is an opportunity for all dog lovers to unite and celebrate their furry friends.

“We are encouraging people to bring their dogs of all shapes and sizes to support this worthwhile cause.”
