A softball player miraculously pulled off the ‘made ya look’ trick to finally tag home

I honestly can’t say I’ve ever seen the “made ya look!” trick work, especially in sports.

But here we have it.

Thanks to a video from Panola Watchman editor and columnist Ryan Silapan, we can see it in action: A softball player named Jada Walton in Carthage, Texas was rounding third and heading for him when the throw beat her by a lot. She avoided the initial tag, then got up and was blocked by the opposing catcher.

As they stared each other down, Walton pointed out to first. The catcher looked away, and Walton dove into tag home plate. She was safe! Either way, it’s amazing that the “made ya look!” worked:
