A Sneaky Insider Has Revealed Which Amazing Race Stars Were Paid The Most This Season

The Amazing Race Australia salaries

After months of teasing us with behind the scenes intel on The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition 2025, the show is finally here! The celebrities are about to embark on their journey around the world and we’ve just copped some salary tea that we weren’t asking for, but we’ll certainly take!

First up, let’s take a look at who’s been cast in the new season, shall we?

There’s Aesha Scott, who you’ll recognise as Chief Stew on Below Deck, with fiancé Scott Dobson. Ant Middleton, SAS Australia host, along with his older brother Dan Middleton, a building conservationist. Both of whom get kicked off because of an off-camera incident.

Who was the incident involving? That would be TikTok’s Luke & Sassy Scott who competed together on the show.

Then you’ve got four-time Olympian and triple Olympic gold medallist Bronte Campbell, competing with fiancé Benfield Lainchbury, a musician.

AFL player Brendan Fevola rounds out the cast with his 18-year-old daughter Leni Fevola, plus athlete Dominic “Dom Tomato” Di Tommaso brings the heat along with his best friend Marx Marsters, a garbo and DJ.

Comedian and actor Ed Kavalee joins the bunch with his missus, The Biggest Loser trainer Tiffany Hall.

Beloved Big Brother host Gretel Killeen enters the house, I mean, race with her daughter Epiphany, then you’ve got model, socialite and Indonesian princess Lindy Klim with her daughter Stella Klim.

Ex MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong joins the fun with bestie Leah Wilson. Australian Idol and Neighbours alum Rob “Millsy” Mills teams up with journo fiancée Georgie Tunny.

And finally, there’s two sibling duos: Steph Tisdell – a comedian and actor – along with her bro Ben Tisdell, an emergency room doctor, and actors Stephen Curry and Bernard Curry.

Now the moment you’re waiting for, how much did they all get paid?

According to production whispers, big names like Melissa Leong, Gretel Killeen, Rob Mills and Ed Kavalee pocketed a flat $100K fee each, which is pretty much on par with regular I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! salaries. Another insider who spoke to the Daily Mail revealed Melissa and Gretel were the highest paid of the bunch, scoring $150,000 each, while ejected cast member Ant Middleton followed with $140,000.

Then you’ve got TikTokers Luke & Sassy Scott who are reported to have pocketed $90,000.

Meanwhile, our source claims the likes of Dom ‘Tomato’ Di Tommaso, Marx Marsters, Steph and Ben Tisdell, and Lindy and Stella Klim were apparently paid less but ended up bringing way more heart to the game, says our insider.

Daily Mail’s insider said last year’s contestants shared a $1 million budget, with the biggest celebs raking in around $100,000 each.

Celebrity couple Rob Mills and Georgie Tunny later addressed the rumour they copped 1.5 million each.

“That’s why we’re in the penthouse,” Georgie joked while on the Will & Woody show. “We need to have chats to our managers!”

“Is that how much you got paid?” one of hosts asked.

“No!” the couple said in unison.

“But… I thought the show was for charity?” I hear you ask.

This is customary of reality shows, even ones that are designed for charity. The celebrity cast members always retain a fee of their own to appear on the show to drum up the money for charity — such as I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

However, one sneaky contestant from this year’s season told our insider: “You could tell who was racing for their charity, and who was racing for their bank account.”

Iiiiinteresting!

The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition 2025 kicks off tonight at 7:30pm.
