'A snap of his fingers' - Lucas Digne breaks silence on Carlo Ancelotti Everton exit

Lucas Digne has admitted he enjoyed the coaching methods of Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.

Ancelotti left Goodison Park after an 18 month spell to re-join former club Real Madrid last week despite insisting several times his desire to manage at the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium in 2024.

The Italian had named Digne captain on occasion at Goodison Park with the left-back being named in the France EURO2020 squad for the upcoming tournament under Didier Deschamps.

Digne has worked with Marco Silva, Duncan Ferguson and Ancelotti since arriving at Everton in 2018 and revealed the 'message' of the three-time Champions League winner was 'very easily' interpreted.

He told Goal : "He analyses opponents very well, he reads matches very well. And he tries to adapt to the players he has at his disposal each game.

"He is able to vary his system during a game with a snap of his fingers. And above all, he knows very well how to explain to players what he wants. His message gets through very easily.

"Deschamps or Ancelotti always manage to motivate you, to find the nice little things."
