A shark was spotted trapped in a pool on a Welsh beach swimming about and probably keen to return to the ocean.
The shark, believed to be a common smooth-hound, was seen on Caswell Bay in Swansea on Sunday afternoon.
Kerry Brereton, from Sketty, was enjoying a walk around the cliffs with his partner Catrin at around 1pm when he made the discovery.
The 40-year-old said: "We were walking over the cliff path looking over the beach.
"From the height advantage we could see into the tidal pool but we thought it was a dogfish."

It was only when the couple made their way onto the sand that they realised it was actually a shark trapped in the pool of water.
The incident comes after a tope shark was found washed ashore on Burry Port beach at the beginning of May.
"Both of us were really shocked," Mr Brereton added.
"It's the first time I've seen one in this country. I've surfed on the beach all my life but I've never seen anything like that.
"That's our usual walk and you normally see the odd seal there.
"It was about 1.5 metres long and probably about 100 yards out onto the beach from the steps and cafe.
"It was amazing. It was really nice to see it just swimming around.
"There were quite a lot of people looking at it. It was just stuck in a pool."
People can be seen in video of the incident trying to dig a trench from the pool to the sea for the shark to swim down.
Its eventual fate is not known, but it's understood it may have re-entered the sea when the tide came in.
