Viv Conway, one of the brand’s co-founders, told PEDESTRIAN.TV that they’re after a diverse bunch so they don’t miss out on creating products that are lacking in the market.
“There’s only so much testing our small team can do,” Conway said. “Jo [co-founder of Girls Get Off] and I’s personal situations (like being single) can limit how often we get to try toys in partnered settings, which means some experiences just don’t get explored.”
Conway said individual preferences also play a big part in sex toy testing, so getting a wide variety of people means all bases are covered.
“For example, suction toys aren’t my fave, even though they’re our bestsellers, so when I had to test five different versions back-to-back, it was kind of impossible to tell which was better,” she explained. “We need more testers to make sure we’re getting a full, fair picture before we launch anything new.”
To apply to become a sex toy tester, you need to fill out this form on their website. You’ll be asked about your relationship status, how experienced you are, and how many toys you own. You’ll also need to specify if you’re happy to give written or video feedback after trying out the toys.
Applications to join Girls Get Off’s sex toy tester crew have been blown wide open, with over 2000 applications in the first 24 hours. The brand hasn’t specified how many testers they’re looking for, but there’s still plenty of time to throw your hat in the ring. Applications close August 20, 2025.
