If you want to read a book with a happy ending that all ties up neatly, go away. This story is about an evil Count, fires, dead parents and clever children; Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire. Count Olaf is an evil man - more evil than your boring old history teacher! He ‘kindly’ takes in the the Baudelaire orphans when their parents are killed in a fire, but the only good thing about his house is the fact that they are next door to the lovely Justice Strauss.
Violet invents, Klaus reads and Sunny bites. Please just shut this tab down so you can go and get the book! I really don’t want to spoil the story for you. Oh well, I will anyway. The play, The Marvellous Marriage by Al Funcoot is a bit fishy and just when Count Olaf thinks he’s got the Baudelaire fortune by marrying Violet, it turns out she messed things up for him – big time.
Are you still reading? I’d better stop, I’m getting carried away now. Thanks for reading this anyway, I hope you do enjoy The Bad Beginning! As soon as I am able to get my hands on a copy, I will feed you more interesting stuff about the Baudelaire orphans and their extremely, ah, interesting life.
