A semi-detached was the most expensive property to sell in Salford in March - for more than £500,000

A house in Higher Broughton was the most expensive home sold in Salford in March, new data has revealed. 

The semi-detached property on Cheltenham Crescent sold for £530,000 on March 3, according to latest information from the Land Registry. 

The second most expensive home sold was a detached house on Granary Lane, Worsley, which went for £423,000 on March 2.

The cheapest property sold in Salford in March was also in Worsley. The flat on Ainsworth Court sold for £75,000 on March 6.

In Salford, there were just 15 sales registered in March, a 75 per cent fall compared to the 61 sales registered at the same point in February.

• Lymefield Drive, Worsley, a semi-detached house, sold for £272,000 on March 03
• Sandy Lane, Irlam, a semi-detached house, sold for £270,000 on March 04
• The Miners Mews, Worsley, a terrace house, sold for £250,000 on March 11

Least expensive

• Ainsworth Court, Stanley Road, Worsley, a flat, sold for £75,000 on March 06 (This sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession)
• Townsgate Way, Irlam, a flat, sold for £125,000 on March 04 (This sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession)


• Scarsdale Street, Pendleton, a terrace house, sold for £125,000 on March 04 (This sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession)
• Larkside Avenue, Worsley, a terrace house, sold for £132,000 on March 02
• Dorchester Road, Swinton, a semi-detached house, sold for £137,500 on March 10 (This sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession)


According to the Land Registry, 5,176 home sales have been registered from March - that’s barely a third of the number, 16,042, registered for February at the same point last month.
