A secret compartment full of nude pictures has been found in a Leeds mansion

Staff at a Leeds mansion found an extensive collection of nude postcards hidden in a secret compartment.

The saucy postcards were found in a special compartment disguised as a book which formed part of an antique desk.

They were found during routine work by staff at Temple Newsam House in Leeds which can trace its history back five centuries.

It is believed the French postcards date back to the early 1900s.

The find was revealed on the Temple Newsam Twitter page by a member of staff who said: "We found a secret compartment in a piece of office furniture…disguised as a book…

"Want to know what was in there? (I know the suspense is all too much).

"Nudes!"

The spokesman added: "Temple Newsam is full of surprises including the loveliest lady lumps...I wonder what we’ll discover next!"

Twitter followers were delighted with the discovery of the old postcards.

One said: "What a titillating find!"

Another joked: "How cool. Going to check my Ikea Billy Bookcase for hidden nudes."
