Maya dreams of being able to have freedom, and hang out at the beach and surf with her friends, but as she is an only child and ever since a tragic family accident her parents have been very over-protective.
Meanwhile, Cat has the freedom to do what she likes- her mum can barely look after herself, let alone her daughter. When Maya's family adopt Cat their lives collide. Will they ever grow to trust each other and be friends, let alone sisters?
Once again, Kate Maryon creates a heart-warming tale full of feeling which is a wise, wonderful thing. I would recommend this book to anyone aged 9 and over. A great, well written story which is very original.
