A screening of iconic musical Cabaret is taking place in Glasgow this month

A screening of the iconic 1972 musical Cabaret is taking place at the Glasgow Film Theatre this month.

The stylish film, set in Berlin in 1931 against a backdrop of increasing anti-semitism and the growth of the Nazi Party. It follows the events of the risqué Kit Kat Klub as the city sits on the edge of war.

Starring Liza Minnelli as the iconic main character Sally Bowles, the film made her a household name - as well as winning her an Oscar.

It is taking place on Sunday, January 26 at 1.25pm as part of  'BFI Musicals! The Greatest Show on Screen'  - a UK-wide film season which celebrates the best film musicals.

The film is suitable for over 15s only. Tickets are priced at £10.90 and can be bought online at the GFT website.
