A Scrabble pop-up is coming to London at the end of the month

Wordsmiths and board game enthusiasts alike, listen up: a pop-up dedicated to Scrabble is coming to London.

To mark the beloved board game's 70th anniversary, an immersive pop-up celebrating its past, present and future will open at Westfield London on Sunday October 28.

The world’s first gravity-defying Space Edition Scrabble, designed for astronauts, will also be on show. The new version is made from meteoritic rock and magnet tiles to stop the tiles floating away with zero gravity.

Seven huge Scrabble cubed tiles will display the visual history of the board game in pop culture, film and TV.

There will also be the opportunity to vote for the next word to appear in the Scrabble dictionary.

Die-hard fans can even watch the world’s greatest players go head-to-head live in the World Scrabble Championship Finale and will get the chance to play against Scrabble supremos themselves.
