A sad farewell to the Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram bromance

It was a partnership that lasted two seasons. But it’ll be a friendship that will last forever.

Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara formed a two-headed monster for the New Orleans Saints in 2017 and 2018. But now Ingram signed a deal to join the Baltimore Ravens.

So we’ve got to take a moment and say goodbye to the bromance that formed between these two in The Big Easy. It could have been possible that the elder Ingram might have felt like his thunder was stolen by Kamara, a breakout rookie in 2017, but it was quite the opposite.

We’ll enjoy that time the two of them decided to steal the Philadelphia Eagles’ ski mask idea and do interviews together while wearing them, right after beating the Iggles in the playoffs.

They really enjoyed talking to the media as a pair.

Kamara had this to say in January of 2018 about their relationship. Via the Associated Press:

“I know there’s definitely egos” in pro sports, Kamara said this week as the Saints prepared to open the playoffs Sunday against Carolina. “I think people questioned it a lot, like, ‘Are they really that close? They seem close, but are they really that close?’ But it’s really one of those things where we’re actually close and we care about each other and we care about more than just the football player part of it. I genuinely care about the dude.”

And when Ingram signed his deal, the two swapped awesome tweets that showed the bromance is real:

I’m not crying, you’re crying.
