Vinnie Jones has backed Leeds United to edge a tight game against Everton this weekend and says it will not be long before his former club hand out a Premier League thrashing.
The Whites are looking to end a three-game winless streak when they make the trip to Goodison Park on Saturday evening.
Marcelo Bielsa's side go into the game on the back of a positive performance in a goalless draw against Arsenal, which saw them denied by the woodwork as they created the better chances against a poor Gunners side.
They now face an Everton side that have faltered slightly after an eye-catchingly good start to the season.
The Toffees now sit sixth in the table, five points and eight places clear of Leeds.
Jones says Leeds' performance in the goalless draw with the Gunners shows it will not be long before they thrash an opponent.
Yet, writing for Easy Odds, the former midfielder said that is unlikely to be against Everton - instead backing the Whites to edge Carlo Ancelotti's side out in a tight encounter.
"How good were Leeds against Arsenal?" Jones asked
"Bielsa’s boys ran the Gooners ragged with some fantastic passing and opened them up big-time.
"I still don’t know how they didn't score - but the woodwork took a battering!
"You can’t help feeling Leeds will give a right tanking to a team soon, although I’m not sure it’ll be Everton at the weekend. The Toffees might have lost their edge, but are still a very decent side.
"I’m going with Leeds to edge this one at Goodison."
