A Real Madrid star, fans' favourite return - The players tipped to sign for Newcastle United

Newcastle United fans are still eagerly awaiting the news that the club's £300million takeover has been completed.

While there has still been no confirmation of the takeover dealing going through, the feeling is the next few days will see the deal led by Amanda Staveley and backed by Saudi Arabia's PiF and the Reuben brothers go through.

As a result, Newcastle will become one of the wealthiest clubs in the Premier League which could lead to a mass influx of additions.

Steve Bruce has operated on a fairly limited budget so far during his time at the club but with fresh funds, the Magpies' squad could be set for a huge shake-up.

According to bookmaker Paddy Power, former Newcastle frontman Salomon Rondon is the most likeliest man to join the new revolution.

Rondon spent last season loan at the club before moving to China but has since spoken about a potential return to St James' Park.

He's priced at 11/2 to sign before January 2021, alongside Aston Villa star John McGinn, who is likely to leave Villa Park if the club are relegated back to the Championship.

Goals remain the biggest thorn in Bruce's side and, as a result, a move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could be in the offing.

The 23-year-old is a controversial figure but has scored 29 goals this season, which could earn him a move to the Premier League.

If big names are the way the owners chose to go, then Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal are both on the bookmakers' shortlist at 6/1 and 5/1 respectively.

TO JOIN NEWCASTLE BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2021

11/4 - John McGinn

11/4 - Salomon Rondon

5/1 - Arturo Vidal

11/2 - Alfredo Morelos

6/1 - Gareth Bale

6/1 - Edinson Cavani

9/1 - Timo Werner

9/1 - James Rodriguez

10/1 - Odsonne Edouard

10/1 - Philippe Coutinho

10/1 - James Milner
