Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s has announced that a real-life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant is opening in 2027.
The news came on the 12th anniversary of the very first game’s release in 2012, though in true cryptic FNAF style, it was first teased by a grainy image of a half-pepperoni, half-cheese pizza atop a table covered in confetti.

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza: Coming soon
Fans of the horror franchise have long wanted to be customers at a real Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. A pizzeria to celebrate the games, which famously take place in a run-down and outdated building, full of haunted animatronics, and run by management that really couldn’t care less about concepts like “health” and “safety”.
Now, their dreams are a reality as the first Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is coming in 2027, though no specific date has been released just yet. The location will be at American Dream, a massive entertainment destination in New Jersey – a fitting place for Fazbear Entertainment. According to the official social media account, the pizzeria “will be a functional reimagining of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, designed to immerse guests in the world of the iconic franchise.”

“Visitors will be able to dine at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, play arcade games, experience animatronic stage shows featuring Freddy and the Fazbear Band, visit Foxy’s Pirate Cove, and step behind the curtain for immersive multiplayer survival-horror experiences.”
From this limited information, it sounds like the attraction will combine the family-and-fun draw of a pizza restaurant, with some sort of real-life FNAF gameplay experience – perhaps as a security guard manning the office?
Why has it taken so long to bring Fazbear’s Pizza to life?
With the franchise taking place in, around, or underneath some sort of pizzeria for almost every game, it’s a little surprising its taken until the 12th anniversary of the series to get a real location. In the past, Scott Cawthon has answered in the past why he didn’t want to create a restaurant, stating usually that he had no interest in the food industry. Fans have also speculated that there may be fears around the events of the game being recreated at any real location.
However, it seems those concerns have been resolved, especially as Cawthon has been able to partner with American Dreams to handle the majority of the restaurant-running logistics. In fact, this isn’t the first time a Fazbear themed pizzeria has existed in some capacity.
At the 2025 Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios, a pop-up version of a pizzeria was created. It served up pizza (with meatballs and spaghetti on top), Chica’s Cupcake cupcakes (buck teeth and all), and themed drinks.
While there’s no news yet on what exactly this upcoming location will serve, all it needs to do is beat the standards set by Fazbear Entertainment in the games.
